Ditmar
The founder of Ditmar, Karl Rudolph Ditmar, was born in 1818 in Prenzlau near Stettin.
In 1839 he came to Vienna (Austria), where in 1840 he founded a trading company for oil lamps, among other things.
With his brother Friedrich, they then operated under the name "Gebrüder Ditmar" and then developed lamps himself.
By the end of the century the company was growing and Ditmar had numerous branches in many countries and Ditmar delivered all over the world.
Maxim became the brand name for high-intensity lamps, Demon for kerosene heaters and stoves.
